Who it is for

Researchers and academics

Turn a thesis or monograph into a print book and an accessible ebook without hand-building notes and bibliography.

Textbook and course authors

Numbered equations, consistent subheadings and a contents page that updates as chapters change.

Study and commentary editions

Commentary set at the foot of the page beneath the text it discusses, with sources cited properly.

Academic questions

Which citation style does LeafBound use?

Chicago notes and bibliography. Sources live in the book’s source library, and citations in the text produce notes and a bibliography that update together.

How do equations work?

Type LaTeX for an equation inline or as a displayed, numbered equation. LeafBound typesets it in the print PDF and writes MathML into the ebooks, so screen readers can read it. Sizes run from 25% to 400%.

Can I import a whole LaTeX (.tex) manuscript?

Not yet. LeafBound accepts LaTeX for individual equations; whole .tex documents and LaTeX packages are not imported.

Does it handle commentary or study notes?

Yes, as page-bottom commentary in a single column under the main text. A two-column commentary layout is not available yet.

Will my academic ebook be accessible?

Each edition carries EPUB Accessibility 1.1 metadata, semantic note references and backlinks, MathML for equations and a page list that matches the print edition, which helps readers cite the same page.
